4 gallons tap water through the PUR, 1 packet GNOME draft style root beer, 5 lbs of corn sugar.
Heated water with sugar till almost clear, added extract, (rinsed the packet out several times into the pot and some into the keg), poured sugar extract mix into keg, set the gas at 35lbs PSI, shook on my knees for about 45 seconds(before cooling). I didn't sanitize as I had just poured out the last batch.
I ran to midwest supplies at about 10 mins till close, hwy 100 was backed up so I called ahead to see if they would stay open a couple extra minutes, dude said they would wait for me since I was almost close and was able to tell him what I wanted (extract and 4lbs of sugar, since I already had one). When I pulled up there was a small crowd right at the register, naturally I was thinking that this was the last of the nights shoppers trying to check out before the store closed. I walked in and after about a 3 second pause, everyone belted out "WELCOME TO MIDWEST!!". A couple of giggles and a "I think we scared him" I was checked out and on my way home. next batch
Gnome, 5 lbs sugar, one package of gnome draft style root beer, 4.6 gallons of distilled glenwood inglewood. (filled almost to the top) Cranked up to 35lbs psi, and chilled to 37 degrees, not alot of room in keg for gas and harder to shake. First tastes it seems to be a little watered down, thinking it needs more carbonation to give it depth.
Also learned a lesson with the sanitizing, warm water, cold water makes it clump up.

the first brew
gross.. rainbow inc. 2 bottles 4 fl oz and 4lb of corn sugar. 5 gallons of water.
The syrup was in the fridge for at least a year, and I didn't quite follow directions, (1 bottle to 4 gallons of water and 8 cups of sugar.)
pressurized to 35lb psi at 37 degrees, shook it randomly and momentarily, then brought it back to 8lb psi after 24 hrs, a little to gassy but, probably could of leveled itself out though.
